Twisted Aerial Fitness was created for busy women in their 30's and beyond that struggle with big box gyms and boring exercise routines. I spent years personally struggling with yo-yo dieting fads, boring workouts and that overall feeling like I was on an endless treadmill with nothing to show for it. After spending the first half of my adulthood as a social worker and feeling burnt out, I realized that there had to be something better, healthier. I wanted to spend more time with my kids and had used aerial as a form of self care to help me unwind for years at this point. I knew I wasn't done helping others but I was done with social work. Then came COVID and I had my silk set up in my garage so I could have some "Mommy Space" and as I was hanging upside down one day, it hit me like a ton of bricks I knew what was next in my career. I wanted to create an outdoor aerial program that allowed me to help people unwind and get out among other humans again to connect and take care of themselves. I became a certified aerial yoga instructor and then created a unique program that used what I learned in my certification, group fitness training and body weight workout trainings to create Twisted AF. This program is the only one in the United States that is approved by the World Yoga Alliance, and combines strength training with yoga and uses a silk to make it low impact and fun.
Fitness is about moving your body and being healthy. It is not reserved for those that spend 6 hours a day, 7 days a week in the gym. It is for EVERY BODY. no matter your experience level. At Twisted our goal is to help you find your motivation and get healthy. Aerial Fitness is the main mode here but we also offer what we like to call grounded options. With several modes of training plus our Fitness & Nutrition Coaching packages we can get you to the body you want and deserve. We understand the busy mom life or just busy women life. We know you don't have 4 hours to spend meal prepping for the week to make sure that you have food to eat all week and if you're a mom you don't want to eat separately from your family and we take all that into account. We got you. We understand how hormones start declining and change your body, metabolism and energy levels because I've been there. I am there. The good news is you're not alone and I can absolutely help you manage all of the above and get healthier, leaner and STRONGER!
Twisted was designed with you in mind. After years of not being able to stick with a fitness routine we found that offering several different types of fitness not only works your body in multiple ways but it keeps you from getting bored. Our nutrition and fitness program is also designed with the foodie in mind. For as long as we can remember diet culture has been about restricting foods and cutting them out which leads to yo-yo dieting and weight gain and ultimately feelings of defeat. It doesn't have to be that way. We can help you eat the foods you love and still meet your weight loss goals.
